Toyah Battersby is left shocked in upcoming Coronation Street scenes as Nick Tilsley struggles to deal with the heartbreaking reality of what his son Sam has been through. After months of fear, manipulation and trauma caused by teacher Megan Walsh, Sam is now receiving treatment for psychosis.

Coronation Street: How Megan Walsh Destroyed Sam’s Confidence
The terrible situation began when Sam Blakeman discovered the truth about Megan Walsh. Although she appeared to be a kind and caring teacher, Sam learned that she was secretly abusing Will Driscoll.
Once Megan realised that Sam knew too much, she decided to turn him into a target. After finding a hidden camera that Sam had placed in her flat, she set up a fake scene involving Will and then confronted Sam when he returned to collect the device. Megan threatened to tell everyone that Sam was a pervert and used his fears against him.
She also attacked the one thing that meant the most to Sam: his academic success. Megan interfered with his schoolwork and grades, leaving him feeling like he was losing the part of himself that made him special.
Desperate to improve his performance, Sam began taking ADHD medication, but he abused the pills and became seriously ill. He later collapsed in the street and was rushed to hospital.
The Damage Continued Long After Megan Was Exposed
Even while Sam was in hospital, Megan refused to leave him alone. She visited him and threatened him again, warning him not to tell anyone what she had done. However, she did not realise that Leanne Battersby had witnessed her behaviour.
Leanne eventually persuaded Sam to open up about everything. That conversation helped expose Megan, but by then the damage had already been done. Sam became convinced that people were plotting against him, especially Will Driscoll and Daniel Osbourne.
Soon, Sam started suffering from frightening hallucinations. At first, he believed Will was threatening him. Later, he began seeing a disturbing version of Roy Cropper. Unlike the real Roy, who has always been kind and supportive, this version constantly warned Sam that people wanted to hurt him.
Things became even more serious when Sam saw both the real Roy and the hallucinated version at the same time. Confused and terrified, he struck Roy before running away. Carla Connor-Swain later found him and quickly realised that he was experiencing psychosis. Nick, Leanne and Toyah then took Sam to hospital, where they finally understood how unwell he had become.

Next week, Nick struggles to come to terms with the fact that Sam faces a long road to recovery. The thought of everything his son has suffered leaves him overwhelmed with guilt and pain.
When Eva Price and Ben Driscoll tell Nick that they had noticed Sam behaving differently, emotions begin to spill over. Seeing how upset Nick is, David Platt gently suggests that everyone should give him some space.
But Nick does not stop there. Instead, he tells everyone to leave. Then, when Toyah carefully approaches him to offer support, he makes it clear that he wants her to go as well. The reaction leaves Toyah stunned as Nick shuts out the people who are trying to help him.
As Sam starts treatment and begins his recovery, Nick faces his own emotional battle. The big question now is whether he will continue pushing away his loved ones or finally allow them to support him during one of the most difficult times of his life.
