Lauren’s voice trembled as she laid her request bare: “Max if they say no, will you take care of him? You and your family, please? I know it’s a lot to ask. You don’t have to answer now, but please, will you look after him?”

Back at the Platt house, Max dropped the bombshell on David and Shona, making it clear that he intended to honor Lauren’s request. His words were full of conviction as he told them: “Frankie is going to be moving in with us. If Lauren’s not allowed to keep him with her, then he’s our responsibility.
