Next week in Coronation Street, all eyes are on Megan Walsh as her long-awaited trial finally gets underway. As Will prepares to face a difficult moment in court, an unexpected arrival threatens to shake up the case even further.

Megan’s Trial Takes A Dramatic Turn
The week starts with a shock when Megan’s mother Janine Walsh arrives in Weatherfield. Maggie, Ben and Eva are stunned to see her. Janine says she is sorry for what Megan has done and wants to help, but they refuse to listen.
Later, Megan tells her mother that Will took advantage of her when she was vulnerable. Janine believes her daughter and decides to speak to Will herself.
The trial soon begins, and Will’s recorded evidence is played in court. His family struggle to hold back their emotions. Ben is later questioned by Adam Barlow, while Megan gives a very different version of events and even criticises Ben’s parenting.
Feeling guilty and upset, Will tells Tim Metcalfe that he feels responsible for everything. He later decides he wants to speak in court again and tell the full truth. By the end of the week, Megan’s future is left in the hands of the jury.
Sam Learns The Truth About The Trial
Nick and Toyah are pleased when they learn that Sam will soon be leaving the mental health unit. Sam then says he wants to attend Megan’s trial because he believes it will help him move forward.
Nick worries about how the case could affect him and tries to protect him from what is happening in court.
Things change when Hope Dobbs visits Sam. When he asks about the trial, Hope seems uncomfortable and avoids talking about it. Sam quickly realises that something is being hidden from him.
After finding out the truth, he becomes angry and confronts Nick and Toyah for keeping him out of the loop.
Sarah Grows More Suspicious Of Jodie in Coronation Street
Sarah Platt decides it is time to get answers and questions Jodie Ramsey about the night she was attacked. Their conversation is interrupted when Lisa Connor-Swain arrives and says she would also like to go over the events again. Sarah remains certain that the attack happened at 9:10pm and remembers David the dog barking the whole time.
Jodie then points out problems with Sarah’s version of events and suggests that Sarah may not remember everything correctly. She even hints that Sarah could have been with Gary Windass. Later, Jodie becomes uncomfortable when the conversation turns to the missing trinket box.
Sarah’s growing concern does not go unnoticed, and David later tells Kit Green that he is worried about her and wants to keep an eye on the situation.
Summer’s Friends Become Concerned
Summer Spellman worries her friends when they find her already tipsy at the Bistro. They are even more concerned when they see her spending time with a group of lads they hardly know. Their fears grow when Summer decides to head into town with them.
Later, Asha, Nina and Amy ask Summer to return to the Bistro so they can talk. They explain that they are worried about some of her recent choices and want her to be careful.
Their discussion is interrupted when paramedic Sienna arrives after being stood up by her date. The attention soon turns to Asha, as her friends encourage her to get to know Sienna better.
Toyah Tracks Down Leanne in Coronation Street
Leanne Battersby enjoys a romantic day with Idris Nazir that includes lunch, a spa visit and an overnight stay at a hotel. The pair have such a good time that Idris books a second night, and they continue enjoying their time together.
Back in Weatherfield, Toyah becomes worried when Sam tells her that Leanne never turned up for a planned visit. While Toyah tries to contact her sister, Idris quietly silences Leanne’s phone when Toyah calls.
