Todd And Summer Prepare To Leave Weatherfield
Todd shocks James by revealing that he plans to give away Theo’s life insurance payout instead of keeping it. Christina quickly jumps to the conclusion that George will be the one to benefit from Todd’s generosity, but she may have celebrated too soon.
Soon after, Todd and Summer make a surprise announcement. They reveal that they are leaving for Thailand to visit Eileen and Jason, and with their trip happening the very next day, their sudden departure leaves loved ones with little time to say goodbye.
Sarah Is Arrested As Theo Murder Investigation Takes A Dramatic Turn
Kit tries to get information about Theo’s murder from McLaughlin, but his colleague gives him a cold response that only adds to his worries. Believing Gary could soon be arrested, Kit warns Sarah, whose panic grows after she realises her wedding outfit is still being held by the police.
As rumours spread across the Street, the investigation suddenly takes a shocking turn when evidence appears to point directly at Sarah. The Platts are left stunned when officers interrupt Audrey’s birthday video to arrest Sarah on suspicion of murder.
Although Sarah insists she is innocent, Lisa later tells Kit that Sarah is now the investigation’s main suspect and that his own actions are also under review. Sarah is eventually charged, while Maria fears Gary may still be involved after a wedding photo seems to place him on the Street at a time he claimed he was elsewhere.
Kit urges Sarah to tell the truth about Gary’s part in everything. Whereas, Maria finally decides she can no longer live with her false alibi. She tells Gary she plans to withdraw it. Desperate to save both his marriage and his future, Gary begs Maria for another chance.
Ollie Gets A Fresh Career Chance
Ollie is delighted when he receives a job offer in Brighton. And although Lauren has mixed feelings about the move, she encourages him to take the opportunity.
Things quickly fall apart when Ollie misses an important phone call and loses the job. Just when it seems he has run out of luck, Leanne steps in with another opportunity. She offers him a chef’s position at Speed Daal.
Christina’s Spending Problem Continues To Grow in Coronation Street
A surprise parcel exposes Christina’s ongoing spending addiction, forcing her to admit to Todd that her finances are still out of control. Embarrassed by the truth, she asks Todd to keep George from finding out. And he covers for her when George starts asking questions.
Todd warns Christina that she cannot keep hiding the problem forever, and she promises she will get her spending under control. Still worried, Todd later confides in Summer, who fears Christina’s behaviour could eventually create even bigger problems for the family.
Betsy Faces Another Tough Step In Her Recovery in Coronation Street
Brody confronts Dylan over the rumours he has been spreading about Betsy’s ordeal. He says he would have pressed charges immediately if he had been in her position. Ryan’s honest advice makes Dylan rethink his actions, prompting him to visit Betsy and offer a sincere apology.
