Debbie Webster Makes a Huge Announcement
Debbie feels nervous ahead of her Women in Business speech and admits to Carl that she plans to rely on her notes, so he reassures her that doing so is fine. As the hotel event begins, he asks for her login details to pay the staff, and she tells him to look in her notebook before heading to the stage. In a panic, she forgets her iPad password and can’t access her speech, leaving her visibly flustered.
With no notes to fall back on, Debbie decides to speak from the heart instead. She tells the room that she has been diagnosed with dementia, explains what the future may look like for her, and makes it clear that she refuses to give up without a fight.
Coronation Street: Todd Grimshaw Decides to Leave Theo Silverton
Theo tells Todd to stay hidden because his injuries could make people jump to the wrong conclusion, so Todd cancels plans with Summer. Theo backs up the excuse that he has gone to London, but Summer becomes suspicious after spotting movement near the flat. When Gary and Ben insist on checking for a burglar and Dev turns up to help, Todd emerges and claims he has just returned from the capital and hurt himself during a drunken afternoon.
Later, Theo gives Todd a fitness tracker and suggests he should continue training with a 10k goal, leaving Todd with no enthusiasm. Lisa attempts to convince Carla that she still wants to be with her, but later meets Becky to share that they may have traced the lad who attacked Costello. Becky insists she has never heard of him, yet later meets Soap to retrieve Costello’s burner and personal phone, only for police sirens to interrupt their exchange. The next day, Lisa informs Becky that Costello is coming out of his coma, which leaves Becky furious.
She races to the hospital, grabs a syringe, and prepares to kill him before he wakes, but Lisa arrives before she can follow through. Kit later tells Carla that he is certain Becky was involved in the attack but admits he has no evidence. Becky then sits at Costello’s bedside and chats to his daughter while quietly memorising his iPad password, unaware that Kit has located Costello’s phone, putting her at serious risk.
Will Driscoll Is Furious With Daniel Osbourne
Will feels thrilled when Megan applies for a job at Weathy High, but Daniel also reacts positively when she tells him she has received an interview email, and he coyly asks her out. She agrees, leaving Will furious, and when Liam later asks about his life in Hull and whether he has a girlfriend, Will takes offence until Maria steps in to break up the argument.
Later in the Rovers, Megan receives a call confirming she got the job. Daniel kisses her and things become passionate while Will watches, devastated by what he sees.
Dee-Dee Bailey Makes a Big Decision
Dee-Dee refuses to commit to Christmas plans with Ollie, leaving him disappointed, and she eventually decides to end their relationship altogether. Maggie offers to speak with her, hoping to help, as Ollie struggles with the news.
Meanwhile, Dee-Dee confides something significant in Alya, raising the question of whether she may leave Weatherfield before Christmas arrives and whether anyone can persuade her to stay.
