Next week on Coronation Street, Weatherfield is thrown into chaos as Bernie’s nightmare with Mal takes a shocking turn, Steve receives heartbreaking news about Jim, and several residents find themselves in messy situations they can’t easily escape.

Bernie Is Arrested After Mal Is Attacked

While Dev and Asha go out together, Bernie ends up alone in the café with Mal. He locks the door and opens up about his feelings, but when she rejects him his behaviour becomes unsettling. Later she finds her head cut out of a wedding photo and believes Mal did it. Frightened, she tells Kit she once spent a platonic night with him and he has been stalking her ever since.

When Mal later causes a scene in the café, Roy throws him out and Bernie angrily warns him to stay away or she’ll kill him; he just laughs. The next day police discover a man with a serious head injury, it’s Mal. Bernie turns up with bags packed but DC Browning arrests her for assault. At the station she insists she’s innocent, admitting she met him that night but saying he’s been harassing her ever since. Now everything depends on whether Mal survives to give his version.

Coronation Street: Steve Gets Devastating News About Jim

Steve is first shocked when Jim’s landlord demands £1,800 unpaid rent because Steve is listed as guarantor. Soon after, one of Jim’s army friends tells him Jim is in hospital and not expected to recover. Cassie urges him to visit, but Tracy reminds Steve how badly Jim treated him growing up, leaving him unsure what to do.

Ben offers him a lift after his car battery dies, yet Steve hesitates outside the hospital. Later he enjoys a night out with Ben and Tim after getting free football tickets, unaware Jim tries calling him. The next morning Steve says he’s done chasing a father who never cared; not knowing Jim will die off-screen after more than 35 years on the show.

At the undertakers, Christina jokes that George charms clients into changing their wills but a customer overhears. Soon Adam tells George a woman named Annie is challenging her mother’s will and advises him to get a lawyer. George even considers refusing the £10,000 inheritance to avoid problems, but Christina warns that could look suspicious.

Things get worse when Annie plans to sue both George and Christina. During a funeral, she warns the grieving son Damien not to trust George, leaving his reputation and business in danger.

Coronation Street: Jodie’s Behaviour Raises Suspicion

Jodie tells Carl to stay away after his text, but Debbie still transfers him £2,000 and Ronnie worries he’s using her. Meanwhile someone secretly follows Jodie holding a matching locket, and later she opens a hidden box when she’s alone, showing she’s hiding something big.

At the Platts’, Shona loses her wedding ring and Jodie draws David close while pretending to help find it. She then makes David look lazy with chores, making Shona doubt him, and Shona admits they barely spend time together, hinting Jodie may be trying to come between them.

Maggie Interferes With Lauren And Ollie

Lauren is excited when Ollie asks her out for dinner and things finally seem to be going well. But Maggie reminds her she owes her the job and keeps interfering in her life.
