The wait is finally over when Ben Driscoll receives a phone call confirming that the jury has reached its verdict in Megan Walsh’s trial.
With Eva Price offering her support, Ben and Will head into court to hear the decision that could change all of their lives. But has Megan been found guilty, or has she escaped justice?
After the verdict, Hope Dobbs reassures Will that everyone at school is supporting him despite all the attention he’s received. Daniel Osbourne and Will also decide to put their differences behind them.
But Will makes a huge personal decision by announcing that he’s quitting athletics. It is because the sport now brings back painful memories of Megan.
Alfie’s Medical Emergency Leaves Abi Devastated
Abi Webster becomes increasingly frustrated when her landlord continues to ignore her complaints about the damp in her flat. She is stunned to discover that Idris Nazir is actually the owner of the property.
It is after his phone rings while she is trying to contact the landlord. Later that evening, she notices black mould behind Alfie’s bed. And her worst fears come true when he suddenly struggles to breathe.
Kevin Webster rushes Abi and Alfie to hospital while Carl also arrives after hearing the alarming news. Doctors confirm that the mould caused Alfie’s breathing problems and advise Abi to move out immediately.
Although Idris and Brody later try to repair the damage, Abi refuses to forgive them and vows to take legal action, with Sally Metcalfe encouraging her to hire Adam Barlow as her solicitor.
Cassie’s Romance Faces A Major Test In Coronation Street
Cassie Plummer grows tired of Tracy Barlow constantly interfering in her relationship with Steve McDonald.
After Tyrone reminds her that Tracy will always be part of Steve’s life, Cassie decides to take a chance and proposes to Steve in the cab office.
Her happiness is short-lived when she later sees Steve helping Tracy with a flower delivery and assumes the pair are growing close again. Hurt and upset, Cassie heads to the Chariot Square Hotel, drinks heavily and flirts with a stranger who turns out to be Ross Wilkes, Tyrone’s biological father. When she returns home, she hides what happened after Steve suggests they move forward together.
Hope’s Surprise Changes Tyrone’s Life In Coronation Street
Hope and Ruby leave Fiz puzzled after secretly planning something on Hope’s phone and refusing to explain what they’re doing.
Their surprise is eventually revealed when they admit they secretly submitted Tyrone’s DNA for testing and tracked down his biological father, Ross Wilkes.
Cassie meets Ross first and warns him that Tyrone is unlikely to agree to seeing him. However, Tyrone unexpectedly comes face-to-face with Ross at Speed Daal, where Steve and Tracy are already chatting with the newcomer.
Although surprised by the meeting, Tyrone slowly begins warming to his father and agrees to get to know him.
Christina’s Secret Finally Comes Out In Coronation Street
George Shuttleworth becomes suspicious when Christina Boyd keeps turning down his invitations and reacts nervously whenever her phone rings.
Glenda’s curiosity gets the better of her, and she secretly searches Christina’s handbag while she is away from the table, making a discovery that leaves her shocked.
George later follows Christina and is stunned to see her warmly embracing another man. Unable to ignore what he has witnessed, he confronts them and demands answers.
Christina finally admits the trouble she has been hiding, while George encourages her to be honest with the people closest to her and hope they can forgive her.
Theo’s Murder Investigation Hits Another Roadblock
Kit Green is left frustrated after being removed from Theo Silverton’s murder investigation. However, Lisa Connor-Swain and DS McLaughlin continue questioning Maria Connor about the night Theo died.
Maria sticks to her original statement, insisting she spent the evening with Gary Windass. But he later demands that Gary finally tell her what really happened.
Maria also confides in Kit that Gary’s lies are putting their marriage under enormous strain. Meanwhile, Lisa tells Todd Grimshaw that the investigation has reached a dead end. But Todd’s surprisingly calm reaction immediately catches her attention and raises fresh suspicions.

Sam Blakeman realises he was too harsh on Nick Tilsley and apologises for the way he reacted. He acknowledges that everything his father did came from a place of love and decides to leave the disagreement behind.
Feeling that he is exactly where he belongs, Sam moves on from the family tension. Elsewhere, Hope invites Will to join her when she visits Sam after school, giving the youngsters the chance to spend more time together.

With her move to London getting closer, Betsy Swain becomes determined to spend as much time as possible with Dylan Wilson before she leaves. She visits him at Speed Daal and insists she is happy to sit and watch him work if it means they can be together.
