Coronation Street Spoilers For Next Week (May 18-22, 2026): Summer Plans To Flee, Will Breaks Down!

By Roy

The Theo Silverton murder case is still causing trouble in Weatherfield. Next week, Summer Spellman finds herself in serious danger when George Shuttleworth gives the police information that could make her look guilty. But is Summer really hiding something, or is someone else trying to save themselves?

Summer Spellman Falls Under Police Suspicion

Kit tells Todd that the police are getting closer to finding Theo’s killer. Summer looks very uneasy when she hears this, and George becomes even more desperate to clear his own name. While tidying up, George accidentally spills the contents of Summer’s bag.

He is shocked when he finds a journal page where Summer wrote about wanting to put a gun to Theo’s head. George and Christina read the page in horror, but Summer suddenly walks back in and catches them. Things get worse when Kit looks at Lisa’s wedding photos and spots something that could point to Summer.

CS/ Summer is taken to police station

Lisa then brings Summer in for questioning. Todd quickly defends her and says she is innocent, while George keeps pushing her for answers about Theo’s death. A flashback shows what George saw that night, and Summer later turns on him. She accuses George of being the real killer.

When she overhears Christina warning George that the police may come after her too, Summer panics. Todd later finds her with a hold-all bag, ready to leave for her university in America before the police arrest her. But just when things look very bad, Summer remembers a witness who may be able to prove where she was.

Will Driscoll Struggles After Megan Walsh Is Released

Maggie gets caught in more lies, and Ben comes home to find Eva comforting his upset mother. Ben is unsure whether he should show Maggie any sympathy. Then the police contact him and tell him that Megan has been released on bail.

CS/ Ben is pissed

The news leaves him angry, and things become even more tense when Maggie arrives for a family lunch after Ollie invited her. During the meal, Ben tells Will that Megan is free.

Maggie is horrified and promises to protect him, but Ben loses his temper and shocks Ollie and Will with a painful revelation. Later, Will tells Tim that he cannot relax knowing his abuser is out on bail. Ben tries to plan a family holiday, but more trouble follows when Susie’s loyalty to her family causes problems.

CS/ Will talks to Bethany

Will then misses his PE exam, and Bethany finds him at the precinct. She tries to help by talking about her own experience with Nathan Curtis. But when she gently touches his hand, Will lashes out and accuses her of touching him inappropriately.

Jodie Ramsey Keeps Lying To Daniel Osbourne

Daniel tells Jodie that he still does not feel ready to face the outside world. His family still thinks he is in the Lake District, so Jodie claims she saw Cassie and says Bertie is missing him badly. Daniel goes to No.1 to collect his son, but he soon finds out that Bertie has been perfectly fine without him.

Daniel realises Jodie lied and confronts her. Later, Nina shows Daniel and Jodie some cruel online posts from a troll called Truthteller. The posts accuse Daniel of knowing about Megan grooming Will, and they also claim he once groomed Summer.

Daniel believes the troll must be someone who knows him personally. When Jodie sees David nearby, she suggests he could be behind it. But is she trying to blame someone else?

CS/ Shona reveals about Jodie

Later in the week, Jodie says it is her birthday, so Daniel surprises her with lunch at the bistro. Nick brings out a cake, and everyone sings for her. But Shona then arrives and reveals that Jodie’s birthday is actually in December. Daniel is left with even more questions about what Jodie is really doing.

Sarah Platt Starts To Lose Her Confidence in Coronation Street

CS/ Sarah isn’t having a good day

Things do not improve when Sarah makes a mistake with an order and Michael covers for her. The pressure becomes too much, and Sarah loses her temper. Carla tells her to take some time off, but Sarah heads to the Rovers instead. She starts drinking, which leaves people even more worried about her.

Sam Blakeman Feels More Confused Than Ever

Roy Cropper Finally Reopens His Café in Coronation Street

Roy gets some much-needed happy news when he reopens his café after the fire. The café has been part of Coronation Street for many years, and Roy took it over in 1997 before renaming it Roy’s Rolls. The fire caused by Mal Roper’s actions destroyed the café and also damaged Roy’s flat.

The loss was very painful for Roy because many memories of his late wife, Hayley, were destroyed too. Next week, Roy proudly welcomes Fiz and Chesney inside to show them the cafe’s new look after the refurbishment. But in true Corrie style, the big surprise is that it looks the same as before.
