Ken Barlow finds himself drawn to a surprising new companion who is much younger than him. Over the next few weeks, it’s clear that Ken has developed a close bond with Cassie Plummer. Cassie initially started working as a carer for Ken and helped him with his daily needs.
However, with Tracy McDonald’s arrival, her time at Number 1 almost ends. According to Tracy, her dad doesn’t need a carer anymore. Although Ken admits he no longer needs a carer, he has grown to love hanging out with Cassie.
He reveals he wants Cassie to stay on as his carer so that they can keep spending time together. But Tracy clearly doesn’t like his idea. Has Ken really started feeling for Cassie? It’s possible they might be the town’s new couple. But apart from other things, will their age gap be an issue?
