The latest Coronation Street spoilers reveal that DS Lisa Swain will soon make an emotional promise to her girlfriend, Carla, in the upcoming episodes. From the past episodes, we already know about Carla’s sepsis diagnosis when Roy rushed her to the hospital. But when Roy talked to her about informing Lisa, Carla seemed to back off, fearing she might leave her – and even lied to her.
Carla’s Fear Finally Go Away
Carla spent her birthday in the hospital, where Roy brought her a cake and a card. But now, she asked Roy to get her some things from the flat when Lisa wasn’t present. Unfortunately, Roy bumps into Lisa and Ryan, gets uncomfortable with their questions about Carla, and tells the truth. Later, when Lisa came to visit and inquired about the lie, Carla clarified that she didn’t want any fuss—and Lisa was clearly hurt.
Meanwhile, when Ryan and Roy were with Carla, the doctor broke the news that she would need a kidney transplant for sepsis as her kidney was completely damaged. When Ryan informed Lisa of the same, she called the hospital, where Carla shared the awful news and suggested the end of their relationship. And to our surprise, Lisa finally declared her love. That’s when Carla said, “I love you, Carla. In it right up to my neck. I’m gonna be with you every single step of the way. I’m going nowhere.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Mason revealed that Stu offered him a job in Germany. Initially, he wasn’t sure whether to take up the offer. Later, when he helped Lisa by providing proof against his brothers, he knew his brother would soon come behind. But he hardly knew what was waiting for him.
