Steve McDonald Receives Crushing News
Steve McDonald is left disheartened once again. We know he has been unable to move on from his wife, Tracy McDonald, despite multiple attempts. Earlier this year, Tracy left to live in Spain with her lover, Tommy Orpington, after having an affair with him. Though hurt, Steve was ready to forgive her. But Tracy chose to end their marriage.
Eventually, the illicit pair decided to leave Weatherfield. After her departure, Steve joined a dating app, and although he had some success, nothing lasted long. Next week, it gets confirmed that Seve is not at all over Tracy. In the due episodes, Tim pushes Steve to celebrate his 50th birthday with a night out.
But then, Sally shatters his plans by showing her husband an invitation to Tommy’s bronze bust unveiling at Weatherfield County ground. And guess what? It’s the same night as Steve’s party! As a result, Tim tells Steve he can’t make it to the birthday bash.
However, poor Steve thinks he is planning a surprise party for him. Steve’s speculations are validated when he overhears Sally telling Tim she’s going into town to buy an outfit for an event the next day. Later, Amy tells Steve that Tracy has cancelled her visit from Spain.
This upsets Steve, as his last hope for a reunion is smashed. Soon after, Steve asks Cassie, Kevin, and Tyrone at the Rovers about a surprise party.
