Antony Cotton Shares Heartbreaking Tribute To Friend Callum
Antony took to Instagram to honour Callum’s memory by posting a photograph of the two together. In the image, Callum proudly showed off his medals, which highlighted his military background and achievements. Alongside the photo, Antony also shared an emotional message about the painful loss.
“Hope you’re at peace now Callum,” Antony began the caption. “We are all absolutely devastated. You were a great pal and a great soldier. We will miss you Callum – the blokes loved you. We all did. Rest easy mate. You were one of the very best.”

Following the post, Antony’s tribute quickly sparked an outpouring of support in the comments section. Many followers shared their own memories of Callum while also sending love to Antony and Callum’s loved ones during the difficult time.
For instance, @rachelfraser1409 wrote: “This is so sad, RIP Callum. He was in Sandhurst in when my family was posted there too in 2020-2022. Thinking of his family and friends at this sad time”. Meanwhile, @beefeater_417 added: “This is sooooo sad. Love to all and his family. A mega bloke and a mega Drum Major”.
Antony Has Long Championed Veterans’ Causes
Over the years, Antony has consistently spoken out in support of veterans and, as a result of his work, even received an MBE for services to the armed forces. Previously, he criticised the treatment of former paratrooper James Tattingham and his wife Lucy after they were hit with a large Universal Credit bill linked to compensation payments.

Speaking to The Mirror, Antony said: “This goes against our Armed Forces covenant that states no member or veteran, or their families, will be disadvantaged.” Furthermore, he explained that veterans with “life-changing injuries – physical and mental health issues” had been “failed by the very policy designed to protect them”.
Later on, Help for Heroes representative Sasha Misra publicly backed Antony’s comments. She said: “Veterans deserve to feel assured that if they experience injury or illness during service, they will not be punished for receiving compensation.” Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers and behind-the-scenes updates.
