We previously reported the bittersweet news of actress Helen Worth retiring from Coronation Street as Gail Platt, a role that she has played for over 50 years. Over the decades she has been part of many crucial storylines on the soap and has been a fan fav for a long time. However, her exit arc has opened the door for John Thomson’s smashing return!
John Thomson played the character of Jesse Chadwick from 2008 to 2010, he was a children’s entertainer on the soap. The 55 years old comedian is famous for starring on Cold Feet and Fast Show. However, his short stint as Jesse has been very memorable for Corrie fans. Thus, the excitement over his return to the soap is raging!
Coronation Street spoilers tease that Gail will be surprised to see Jesse arriving in the town. It will be revealed that Gail and Jesse had been in touch with each other all along. Thus, when he hears about the mishap that recently happened with Bethany in Turkey, he decides to come to town to stand in support of the Platt family.

Furthermore, he added that the Platt’s are going to be absolutely baffled to see him and hear his and Gail’s story. He teased that two members of the family are going to like him, while two are going to detest him.
