Coronation Street’s Junade Khan Opens Up About His Talented Children

Coronation Street recently introduced viewers to Idris Nazir, Alya Nazir’s cousin. Since arriving in Weatherfield, Idris has quickly made an impact. He has clashed with several residents and has also caught Leanne Battersby’s attention, despite Alya warning her about his reputation.

Away from the cobbles, Junade enjoys family life with his wife Gem and their two children, Alara-Star and Pacino. It seems acting talent runs through the whole family, as both children have already landed some major roles.

Speaking about their success, Junade proudly revealed just how busy his children have become. He said: “My kids are actually on screen more than me! My daughter worked with Angelina Jolie in a film called Anxious People, and did a Ridley Scott film, and my little boy has done a Marvel film and Waffle the Wonder Dog. So now there’s me in Corrie, it’s all good!”

The actor recently brought his wife and children to the Coronation Street set to show them his new workplace. With everyone finding success in the entertainment industry, it was clearly a special family moment.

Pacino’s Big Break Became A Proud Family Moment

Earlier this year, Junade shared some exciting news about his son Pacino. The youngster secured a role in a television show that he had really wanted, making the achievement even more meaningful. The proud dad shared his excitement online and wrote: “So proud of our baby boy! His reaction to booking the role in a TV show that he loves! At just 5yrs old, was absolutely everything – swipe to see his excited little face!

‘He loved the whole audition process, and really wished and prayed hard for this one. His school teacher told us that after his 1st recall, he wrote this down as a wish on their class wish board for 2026.” Junade went on to explain how much effort Pacino put into the auditions and how much the opportunity meant to him.
