Coronation Street finally exposed the truth behind Theo Silverton’s death, but it turns out the show had already dropped a clue before the big reveal. Actress Tina O’Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, has now shared a secret detail from an earlier scene that connected Sarah directly to Theo’s death.

While viewers focused on Sarah’s emotional state, a much bigger hint was hiding in plain sight. Scroll down to get more details about the story.

Coronation Street: The Truth About What Happened To Theo

After weeks of mystery, Coronation Street finally revealed what happened to Theo Silverton. The truth came out through a series of dramatic flashbacks that revisited the night everything went wrong.

Viewers saw how a dinner party quickly turned chaotic. During the confrontation, Sarah Platt hit Theo over the head with a scaffolding pipe. The flashbacks also showed Gary Windass helping her cover up the incident afterward.

The episode also shed new light on scenes that had already aired. Earlier, fans watched Sarah rush into the Platt house looking upset and flustered before Jodie Ramsey attacked her and knocked her unconscious. At the time, the moment seemed strange, but it now makes much more sense.

The Sarah Clue Almost Nobody Noticed

Speaking on the Soap Scoop podcast, Tina O’Brien revealed that the show carefully planted a clue linking Sarah to Theo’s death. According to the actress, Sarah still had evidence of what had happened when she arrived at the Platt house.

“So we’d already shot the stuff on the scaffolding and we obviously knew how upset and overwhelmed Sarah would be. We also knew that Sarah had blood on her hands,” she said.

The actress explained that the scene was filmed with that detail in mind. “So [that scene] was shot with the blood on her hands. But we had to be very, very careful about what was seen on screen. But it would have been a cheat to the audience to not have the full thing.”

Although Sarah looked visibly distressed, most viewers did not notice the clue. O’Brien explained that the blood was present throughout the scene, even if it was difficult to see on screen. So, Sarah’s blood-covered hands were always pointing to the truth long before Coronation Street finally revealed Theo’s killer.
