Coronation Street Star Reveals Who Megan Could Meet in Prison!

By Roy

A departing Coronation Street star may have finished her time on the cobbles, but she already has a clear idea for how her character could return.

Beth Nixon, who played villain Megan Walsh, has suggested a prison storyline involving a familiar former Weatherfield resident, and the reunion could create some fiery scenes. Scroll down for more information.

Beth Nixon Wants Megan Walsh To Meet Lou Michaelis In Prison

Viewers recently watched Megan finally face justice after a week-long trial. The court found her guilty of grooming Will Driscoll, bringing the dark storyline to a major conclusion and leaving Megan set to spend time behind bars.

However, Beth has already thought of a possible way to keep Megan on screen. She wants the character to cross paths in prison with Lou Michaelis, the former cobbles resident who became a fan favourite during her brief time on the soap before also ending up behind bars. Lou has since appeared from prison during Debbie Webster’s own stint inside.

CS/ Lou to meet Megan?

The idea also has a personal appeal for Beth because she is good friends with Farrell Hegarty, who played Lou. Speaking to Digital Spy, Beth said, ‘I’d love Megan to bump into Lou Michaelis. Farrell is a really good friend, so I’d love to do some prison scenes with her. That would be fabulous,’ before adding, ‘I think Lou would definitely put Megan in her place for sure!’

Megan’s Crimes Were Hidden Behind Her New Life In Coronation Street

Megan first arrived as Will’s athletics coach and quickly earned the trust and respect of his family. After Will moved from Hull to Weatherfield, he desperately wanted to continue training with her. Eva Price and Maggie Driscoll then agreed to pay Megan extra money so she could travel to them.

Megan eventually moved to the cobbles full-time and even secured a job at Will’s school. She also started dating colleague Daniel Osbourne, but her seemingly normal new life hid the truth. Megan had been grooming Will, who believed they were in a relationship. On his 16th birthday, they slept together and continued meeting secretly over the following months.

Sam Blakeman eventually worked out what was happening and told Eva, exposing Megan’s crime. Even then, Will struggled to admit what had happened to him.

A later conversation with Tim Metcalfe helped him see the situation differently, and he eventually reported Megan to the police. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers and behind-the-scenes updates.
