Asha Alahan could soon find love in Coronation Street. But the possible romance begins during a difficult time for one of her closest friends. As Summer continues to struggle after her time in prison, her friends decide they need to step in.
However, while trying to help Summer, they also spot a chance to give Asha’s love life a boost. Scroll down for more details.
Coronation Street: Summer’s Friends Hold An Intervention
Next week, Asha, Nina and Amy head to the Bistro and are shocked to find Summer already tipsy. Summer then tells them that she is planning to go into town with a group of men they met the day before.
The girls immediately become concerned. Summer has been having a hard time since she was wrongly sent to prison for Theo’s murder. Although she is now free, she has found it difficult to adjust to life outside prison and has started drinking to cope with what happened.

Wanting to help, Amy, Asha and Nina sit down with Summer and tell her they are worried about her behaviour. According to a Corrie insider, “Summer’s friends come together to help her through this difficult time, holding an intervention to make her see that she is acting dangerously.”
Asha Reconnects With Former Colleague Sienna
While the girls are focused on Summer, an unexpected arrival changes the mood. Sienna turns up at the Bistro for a date, but things quickly go wrong when it becomes clear that she has been stood up.

Seeing what has happened, Amy and Summer encourage Asha to go over and talk to her. Before long, they are trying to persuade Asha to spend some time with Sienna instead of letting her sit alone.
Viewers will remember Sienna from Asha’s paramedic training days. She worked as Asha’s supervisor, so the two women already know each other well. Their reunion gives Asha’s friends an idea, and they begin to wonder whether there could be a spark between them.

The storyline comes as Asha prepares to return to her paramedic training. She left the course last year after struggling with the pressures of the job. Later, a traumatic shift led to a suicide attempt in October, making it one of the most difficult periods of her life.
Now, things may finally be looking up for Asha. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers and behind-the-scenes updates.
