She’s Been Causing Trouble for a While
If you’ve been reading along, you know that Millie just said she was having a baby. But that’s not true. It’s a lie that she came up with to cause trouble between Theo and Todd. In recent times, she has continued with the act and even developed new means of causing drama.
When she caught a glimpse of her dad jealous over Todd becoming friends with James Bailey, she saw an opportunity to turn it on its head. She has also set up a training session between Todd and James, saying it was a means of apologizing for herself. But that “apology” wasn’t so much about apologizing. It was just another strategy to cause trouble and drive her dad away from Todd.
Todd Begins To Suspect in Coronation Street
In next week’s scenes, Millie’s deception begins to crack. Theo informs her that he’s going to speak with her teacher about the pregnancy. This totally takes her by surprise, and Todd picks up on her nervousness. He suggests her to do another pregnancy test again and say the previous one was faulty.
Todd also assures her that he will not say anything to her parents. This appears to reassure her, and Millie gets teary-eyed and concurs with him. Later, when Theo comes home, Millie says she has something important to tell him. It’s unclear whether she will finally come clean or try to maintain the lie.
Will She Finally Tell the Truth?
Millie is caught in a tricky place now. If she admits that she has been fabricating everything, it might severely damage her relationship with Theo. However, if she continues lying, matters might get even worse, since Todd is already suspecting her.
