Will Driscoll’s future in Weatherfield takes another dramatic turn in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, but his escape plan with Megan Walsh quickly spirals out of control. After secretly stealing money and plotting a new life abroad, Will’s shocking decision leaves his family devastated while Megan faces serious accusations that could change everything for both of them.
Will’s Secret Escape Plan Comes Out
During the latest episode, Rovers Return landlord Ben Driscoll was horrified to discover that £2,000 had disappeared from the pub safe. Ben later admitted to his mum Maggie Driscoll and partner Eva Price that he had accidentally left the safe open after an argument with Sean Tully.
At the same time, Will secretly met Megan Walsh and handed over the stolen cash so they could secure flights to France and start a new life together. However, things quickly became tense when Eva confronted Will over the missing money. A furious Will snapped that he “can’t wait to move to Scotland to be with his mum Melanie Driscoll.”

Even though Ben, Eva and Susie Price gave Will an emotional goodbye as he climbed into the back of Tim Metcalfe’s taxi, they had no idea that he had no intention of heading to Scotland at all. Instead, Will planned to disappear with Megan and leave Weatherfield behind for good.
However, upcoming Coronation Street scenes reveal that the plan immediately hits trouble. Tim receives a notification that Will’s train to Glasgow has been cancelled. When Will desperately insists they still head to the station anyway, Tim begins to suspect something is wrong. At the same time, Will’s brother Ollie notices the cancelled train too and tries to contact him.
Tim Tries to Stop Will From Making A Huge Mistake
The situation becomes even more serious when Ben realises that Will’s passport is missing. Panicking, he immediately tells Steve McDonald to contact Tim and warn him not to let Will out of his sight.
During the tense journey, Tim opens up to Will about his own painful past with Tricia Pinkerton. Tim explains how much he enjoyed the relationship at the time before eventually realising that, technically, he had been a victim of rape. The emotional conversation leaves Tim hoping he can make Will understand the reality of the situation before it is too late.

The chat appears to have an impact because Will later admits that he no longer wants to move in with his mum. Ben feels relieved by the news, although Maggie secretly struggles to hide her own panic over everything that has happened.
Will also makes an emotional confession about Megan, admitting that reporting her to the police was “the hardest thing he’s ever had to do” because he loved her. The revelation leaves his family stunned as the fallout from the relationship continues to grow.
Megan Faces Police Questioning As Will Stays in Weatherfield
While Will wrestles with his emotions, Megan finds herself in serious trouble at the police station. DS Lisa Swain interviews her about the allegations surrounding her relationship with Will.
When Lisa tells Megan that Will has accused her of having a sexual relationship with him, Megan firmly insists that “it’s all lies.” However, the questioning does not stop there, as Lisa also confronts her about the missing £2,000 from the Rovers’ safe and her alleged plan to flee to France with Will.

The investigation leaves Megan’s future hanging in the balance as viewers wait to see whether she will face criminal charges. Meanwhile, Tim continues trying to support Will through the emotional aftermath, later telling him that meeting Tricia again eventually helped him find peace.
Although Will had planned to leave Coronation Street behind forever, the failed escape changes everything. For now, it appears that Will stays in Weatherfield while Megan’s fate remains uncertain as the police investigation intensifies.
