Tracy McDonald is trying to keep things steady for once in Coronation Street, especially after getting emotional about her dad recently, but things never stay quiet for long on the cobbles. If you remember, Tracy and Cassie Plummer’s issues blew up again in October. Tracy accused Cassie of trying to get on Ken Barlow’s good side, and from there the two of them went straight back into winding each other up. It turned into this back-and-forth where each tried to get under the other’s skin, and Ken ended up stuck right in the middle of their nonsense. Even with all that going on, Tracy did try to shift gears. She got upset when she thought Ken was actually considering selling his house.
Rita Tanner stepped in with some gentle advice, telling her that money didn’t matter compared to spending time with someone you love, which clearly made Tracy rethink things. Later, Tracy and Ken had a proper heart-to-heart. Ken told her he never seriously planned to sell to the Rovers and that there wasn’t even a real offer on the table. But he also said he found it disappointing and pretty predictable that her first reaction wasn’t concern for him but worry about her inheritance.
Tracy Overhears Something and Revenge Kicks In
But Corrie being Corrie, that peaceful moment didn’t last long. In scenes airing Wednesday 17 December, Tracy overhears Cassie talking about her over the cab radio and let’s just say Cassie wasn’t paying her compliments. Hearing Cassie slag her off pushes every button Tracy has. And because Tracy never lets anything slide, she immediately starts plotting her next move.
She wants revenge. She’s ready to get back at Cassie, and the big question now is what she’s about to do. With the way their feud has dragged on, this latest moment could easily push things even further. And honestly, at this point, you have to wonder if either of them will ever step down or if this is just who they are now; two women battling to see who comes out on top.
Tracy may want to be there for her dad, but hearing Cassie talk about her behind her back has reignited all that fire inside her.
