The latest episode brought Megan’s storyline to a dramatic conclusion as she learned her fate. The former athletics coach was found guilty of grooming teenager Will Driscoll and received a five-year prison sentence, confirming Nixon’s exit from the soap after she first arrived in November.
Megan had become one of the most manipulative and villainous characters to appear in Weatherfield in recent times. Yet as viewers celebrated seeing her sent to prison, they also praised Nixon for making the difficult issue-based storyline so powerful.
