Family means everything to Coronation Street star Kyran Bowes, and he recently proved just that. The actor, who plays Jack Webster, shared a heartwarming look at his great nan’s 90th birthday celebration and revealed the special surprises that made her emotional on her big day. Coronation Street: A Birthday Celebration Full Of Love
Kyran shared several photos from the family gathering and explained why everyone lovingly calls his great nan “Queenie.” He wrote, “Today we celebrated my great-nan’s 90th birthday.. our ‘Queenie’ as we call her because she is the Queen of our family. We all love her so much and we wouldn’t be where we are today without her.”
The actor also said his great-nan has always enjoyed celebrating special occasions. Because of that, the family wanted to throw her a birthday party that she would always remember.
“Of course my Nan always loved a good party so we couldn’t let her get away without throwing her a party to remember so today is all about you Nan,” he wrote.
The Surprise That Brought Happy Tears
The family made sure everyone could be part of the celebration. They arranged a big video call so Kyran’s sister, who works abroad and could not come home, could still celebrate with everyone.
Kyran also planned a surprise because his great nan is a big Coronation Street fan. He arranged special birthday messages from some of her favourite stars from the soap. He thanked Sue Devaney, Michael Robert Turner and Sally Carman for helping make the surprise possible.
Kyran shared, “Then I surprised my Nan with a special message from some of her favourite Coronation Street characters which she ABSOLUTLEY loved! Thank you so much @suedevaney13 @michaelrobertturner and @sally_carman__ for helping me with her surprise message.”
