Recently, Maria has found herself becoming increasingly suspicious of Gary’s closeness to Sarah. In fact, her concerns grow even stronger in scenes airing next week when Gary unexpectedly rushes to Sarah’s defence while she is going through a difficult time. During the conversation, Sarah promised Gary that he was not alone and said she would support him. However, viewers still do not know exactly what Sarah was referring to. As a result, Maria has even more reasons to question what is really going on. According to Samia Longchambon, though, Maria’s worries are only the start of a much bigger storyline.
“The next few weeks are going to be life-changing for quite a few of the characters,” she teased, “and possibly including Maria. I feel like it’s one of those storylines that will go down in the history books in Corrie. There’s going to be twists and turns that will not be expected…”

Meanwhile, Tyrone has been keeping a secret of his own, as he accidentally injured Carl on the very same night. Consequently, the identity of the real killer remains unknown, and Gary continues to attract suspicion. As Maria tries to make sense of everything happening around her, the uncertainty surrounding Gary only adds to her growing concerns.
