“You’re Fired!”: Corrie Villain Turns On Ryan As Hotel Power Play Turns Ugly

By Roy

Carl Webster is about to push things too far in Corrie, and Ryan Connor ends up right in the middle of the mess. Next week, Carl storms into the Chariot Square Hotel, acts like he already owns it, and makes a shocking move against Ryan. This latest twist also comes at a very dangerous time for Carl, as bigger trouble is already waiting around the corner.

Carl Sacks Ryan At The Hotel

Carl’s latest move comes after he cruelly tries to blackmail his mum Debbie Webster. He becomes convinced that he now has power over her, so he orders Debbie to sign over half of the Chariot Square Hotel to him. Carl clearly believes he is in control and starts behaving like the hotel already belongs to him.

Soon after, Carl heads straight to the hotel bar and helps himself to a drink. Ryan tries to stop him, but Carl only makes things worse. He boldly tells Ryan that he owns the place now, leaving Ryan completely confused by what is going on.

CS/ Carl fires Ryan

Things quickly turn nasty when Carl starts trying to boss Ryan around. Ryan refuses to go along with it, and the argument grows fast. Carl then takes things one step further and tells Ryan that he is fired. Ryan is left furious as Carl makes him the first big victim of his hotel takeover plan.

Debbie Refuses To Back Down in Corrie

Even though Carl acts like he has won, spoilers have already hinted that his time in control may be very short. Debbie finally stands up to her troubled son and makes it clear that he is not getting his hands on the hotel she loves.

Debbie does offer Carl a way out, but it comes with a painful condition. She offers him money on the promise that if he takes it, she never wants to see him again. This puts Carl in a very difficult position and leaves a huge question hanging over what he will do next.

Carl is also running out of chances to fix the damage he has caused. His actions have made him more dangerous and more desperate, and that could soon have deadly consequences. Carl’s bad behaviour is only part of the drama building in Weatherfield.

Show bosses have already confirmed that he is one of five characters who could be killed on the day of Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding next week. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
