Daniel Is Still Struggling After Megan’s Betrayal
Daniel Osbourne has been trying to shut everyone out in Coronation Street. He does not want to think about what happened with his former girlfriend Megan Walsh, but he cannot escape it for long. A few weeks ago, Daniel asked Ken Barlow and Adam Barlow to look after Bertie while he went to the Lakes.
He told them he needed time away from Weatherfield to deal with everything that had happened. But Daniel never planned to go on holiday. After he dropped Bertie at Number 1, he went back to his flat and started drinking. He only wanted to ignore the world around him.
Around the same time, Daniel got a new roommate. Jodie Ramsey moved in after the Platts threw her out. She used her usual clever and manipulative ways to get a place to stay, but surprisingly, she and Daniel have started getting along.
Jodie Tries To Push Daniel Back Into His Life
Next week, Daniel opens up to Jodie. He tells her that he does not feel ready to face the world yet. Jodie then lies to him and says Bertie is missing him. Her plan works. Daniel goes to Number 1 to collect his son, but when he arrives, he finds out Bertie has been having a great time. Later, Daniel asks Jodie why she lied to him.
Jodie tells him she did it for his own good. She may have helped him reconnect with Bertie, but her actions also show that she enjoys getting involved in other people’s lives. Soon after, Daniel faces another problem. Nina Lucas shows him some horrible online posts. The posts suggest that Daniel knew about Megan grooming Will. They also mention that Daniel was once guilty of grooming Summer Spellman.
Jodie Points Daniel Toward David in Coronation Street
Daniel wants to know who is behind the account. The person uses the name Truthteller, and Daniel believes it must be someone who knows him well. He tells Jodie about his suspicion. Then Jodie spots David Platt at the bar and suggests that he could be the person behind the account.
Her guess leaves Daniel with a new person to worry about. But it is not clear if Jodie has really worked something out or if she is playing another dark game. Jodie has already shown that she likes to meddle in people’s lives. So even if David looks like a possible suspect, Daniel may need to be careful before he trusts her too quickly.
