Her shocking admission gives Todd a whole new understanding of the man who made his life miserable for the past year.
Danielle Opens Up About Theo After His Death
Last week, Todd’s long and terrifying ordeal with Theo finally came to an end. After months of abuse and manipulation, Theo cornered Todd inside their flat.
Todd managed to escape after George Shuttleworth stepped in to help him, but Theo refused to leave him alone for long.
Soon after, Todd came face to face with Theo again during a tense showdown on the cobbles. Theo chased Todd through the Street while Todd desperately tried to stay away from him.
The situation turned into a frightening game of cat and mouse as Todd hid from his dangerous ex-boyfriend.
Things took a deadly turn when Theo mysteriously ended up dead on the Street. Betsy Swain later found his body and was left completely hysterical.
Now, a murder investigation has started, led by DS Lisa Swain, and Todd has become one of the main people under suspicion because of Theo’s yearlong campaign of abuse against him. As Todd struggles with everything happening around him, Danielle Silverton suddenly returns to the cobbles.
Todd And Danielle Share A Difficult History
Danielle first clashed with Todd after Theo came out as gay and ended their marriage to be with him. The breakup became even messier because Danielle and Theo shared two children together, Miles and Millie. Danielle blamed Todd for destroying her family and deeply resented him for it.
During one of her earlier visits to Coronation Street, Danielle even had a brief fling with Todd’s brother Jason Grimshaw just to humiliate Theo in front of Todd. Their bad blood made every interaction between Danielle and Todd tense and uncomfortable.
Later, Sarah Platt started suspecting that Todd was suffering domestic abuse. Worried about her friend, Sarah arranged to meet Danielle and directly asked her if Theo had ever hit her while they were married.
Danielle reacted badly to the question and felt offended that a stranger would ask her something so personal. Before Sarah could continue the conversation, Theo and Todd interrupted them. Still, one detail stood out. Danielle never actually denied that Theo had been violent towards her.
Danielle Gives Todd A New Understanding
Now, upcoming Coronation Street episodes finally reveal why Danielle avoided answering Sarah’s question properly. In emotional scenes on the Street, Danielle approaches Todd and asks if they can talk about Theo.
During their conversation, Danielle admits that she knows exactly what Theo was really like. For the first time, she openly confesses that she understands the kind of abuse Todd suffered because she experienced Theo’s behaviour herself.
The confession gives Todd a new and heartbreaking insight into his toxic former partner. It also shows that Theo may have been hiding his violent side for much longer than anyone realised.
At the same time, Danielle’s sudden honesty raises more questions. Todd and Danielle begin bonding over the pain Theo caused them both, but it is still unclear if Danielle is being completely truthful or if there could be another shock still waiting to come out.
