A cold war is brewing between DOOL stars outside the sets of Days of Our Lives. We recently reported to you the war of words that has erupted between Gabi’s original portrayer, Camila Banus, and Gabi’s current portrayer, Cherie Jimenez. Now, Camila has opened up about why exactly she decided to leave the Peacock soap behind.
Camila Banus played Gabi for 13 long years before a clash erupted between her and the makers Days, eventually leading to her exit from the soap. The actress previously opened up about how she couldn’t reach a common ground with the makers when she needed some time off from work to dedicate to her family.
Shortly after Gabi’s role was recast, Camila Banus took to her Instagram to express her displeasure on how everyone at her “previous place of employment” kept quiet even when they could see that what was happening to her was wrong. She even called them friends with “snakes”.

Recently, Camila posted a video on her Instagram featuring a bikini haul in which she looks absolutely stunning! While many Days of Our Lives fans took to the comments section to share how much they miss her as Gabi. Some other wondered if she left the soap to become a social media sensation. However, Camila instantly shot down the idea.
The DOOL alum clarified that she left the Peacock soap to “be happy”. Thus, once again expressing how unhappy she was on the soap due to the work environment. Interestingly, Days has remained embroiled in many controversies in the recent past, all pointing toward a toxic work environment. Not too long ago, actress Arianne Zucker also filed a lawsuit over it.
