Then they headed in to see Dr. George, who came in cold, distant and completely uninterested in the human being sitting across from him. Chanel immediately told him she was a person, not a disease. He did not seem to register the distinction.
Chanel initially tried being understanding about how busy he must be. That grace period lasted approximately thirty seconds. She pulled out her own research and cited that Black women with breast cancer face a 38% higher mortality rate than white women.
Dr. George told her to calm down, get off the internet and walked out saying to make arrangements for chemo. Later, when Chanel and Johnny joined Marlena and Sarah by the nurses’ station, they acknowledged that even the best doctors can miss the human part entirely. Chanel made her position clear: she was not doing chemo. End of story.

Marlena summoned Xander to her office and got straight to the point. She had been thinking about John, about his closeness to Johnny and about how Kate and Xander had been railroading the young man. She told Xander that despite the progress he had made, owning up to something and actually fixing it were two very different things. He could fix this by dropping the lawsuit. Or she was done treating him.
Xander called it extortion. Marlena was entirely unbothered. He tried one last angle, warning her that if Kate went along and word got out, Roman would never forgive her. Sarah’s New Patient Takes a Terrifying Turn
Earlier in the day, Sarah met Destiny for the first time. Destiny was dizzy, nauseous and clearly unwell, and mentioned taking mystery painkillers she had found in a medicine cabinet before throwing them out. Sarah ran tests and concluded it was likely a stomach bug, suggesting rest and fluids. Destiny was not satisfied and accused Sarah of not caring before running out.
That could have been the end of it. Then Sarah ran into Destiny in the town square and watched her collapse right in front of her. Xander rushed over and caught Destiny before she hit the ground, but Sarah could not find a pulse. A routine patient encounter turned into something far more serious in a matter of seconds.
Days Of Our Lives Recap: Joy Comes Clean and Roman Puts His Foot in It
At the Kiriakis mansion, Alex brought Kelsey to meet Justin, and the grandfather reaction was everything. Bonnie arrived, cooed over the baby briefly and then pivoted straight to the plagiarism lawsuit, insisting she never meant to copy anyone. Alex and Justin stood firmly in her corner. Xander was not moving.
Over at the pub, Kate sat with an anxious Joy, who was worried about leaving Kelsey with Alex and tired of feeling like the bad guy. Joy admitted she was relieved Stephanie was not around making things worse. Kate told her firmly she was not the bad guy.
Roman stopped by the pub, got snapped at by Kate and wisely retreated. He came back and pulled her aside, insisting on apologizing and promising to fight for her if she said she had not set up Johnny. Kate said nothing, which said everything.
Alex eventually brought Kelsey to a relieved Joy, but mentioned needing to speak with Stephanie before their next meeting time. Joy’s face said it all. And later, she told Kate quietly that she was not nearly as uninterested in Alex as she had been letting on.
