Joy listened calmly and told him she was simply looking for stability. That answer seemed to satisfy Philip, and he headed off.

EJ smirked again and asked how long Abe thought he could avoid making a decision. Later, Kayla summoned EJ to the hospital with less pleasant news. The board was filing a complaint with the state medical regulatory and licensing agency over his activities on hospital grounds. Meanwhile, Lexie was already in her wheelchair for Kayla’s tests and eager for updates on Salem. She had clearly done her homework on Paulina, researching Pricetown and her rise to mayor. Kayla cautiously defended Paulina. Lexie listened, but made one thing clear. Before any conversation with Abe about what came next, she wanted to meet Paulina first. When Abe arrived, she did not waste time. She demanded the meeting. Abe agreed to arrange it as soon as possible.

Stephanie got home before Alex and made a rather questionable decision, storing her gun loosely in a drawer. Alex walked in moments later. He told her he had met with Joy but would not make any custody decisions without Stephanie’s full input. He wanted Kelsey and Stephanie to meet properly, but agreed it had to wait until after Tripp and Wendy’s wedding.
Stephanie was honest with him. She worried the Kelsey situation might be too much right now.
