Over at the Kiriakis mansion, Xander was already having a complicated day. He had to stay put thanks to the sprinkler incident and his injured arm. Gabi was in the process of packing up and moving out, which at least solved one problem. She sat down, asked about his arm and then decided to come clean about everything. The double dealings. The scheming. All of it. Then she braced herself. “I deserve it,” she said, waiting for the explosion.
Xander, to his credit, held it together. Barely. He told her he had been working on his anger, then delivered one of the most controlled lines of the episode. “But believe me. I am very. Angry.” He even admitted he probably would have made similar choices in her position, which he made absolutely clear was not a compliment. Gabi kept going, adding that despite Tony’s offer and Philip’s breakup, she was not taking the CEO position.
She assumed Theo had been the one to tell Philip everything, pointing to his old journalized feelings for her. Xander was not so sure.
