Days of Our Lives Spoilers recall that ever since Doug Williams III landed in Salem, he has been acting sketchy. Even though Julie accepted him into the family with open arms, Hope was very skeptical about him. And for the right reasons, now we are certain. Despite the love and affection Julie showered him with, he stabbed her in the back, figuratively ofcourse. He stole a priceless necklace from the Horton time capsule.
Doug III didn’t just stop at stealing it. Days of Our Lives Spoilers recall that he teamed up with troublemaker Leo Stark to fence the necklace. All because he needed the money to pay off his loan. Leo did manage to sell the necklace but for not even close to its actual worth. The money that Doug earned from the sales was not enough to pay off his debt. As a result, the loan shark beat him up pretty bad.
But, it seems that the beating is emerging as a silver lining for him. As it put him right on the path to Holly Johan. Not only did she rescue him and helped him with his injuries, she even helped with his debt. Holly managed to get some money from Maggi and paid of Doug’s debt. That unexpected gesture sort of thawed Doug’s frozen heart. Honestly, before this incident, we weren’t even sure he had one, considering the way he betrayed Julie.
However, now, Holly’s good work has given his conscience a nudge. He even showed remorse for his actions and felt guilty for stealing the necklace. Doug called up Leo expressing his wishes to get back the necklace for Julie. Whether he gets it back or not is a story for another day, but what we do know for sure is that he is changing. And this change has occurred courtesy Holly!
Does this mean we could see some sparks flying between the two soon? Holly and Tate’s relationship is hanging by a thread anyway, so we wouldn’t be surprised if she did turn to Doug in the upcoming episodes!
