Life on a soap opera is anything but easy. Especially, on one like Days of Our Lives that is a totally wild ride. There’s drama at every inch of the way, laced with shockers and even losses. Yet, somehow even always being in the middle of it does not prepare one for the curveballs real life tends to throw every now and then.
Something similar recently happened with Days of Our Lives star – Elia Cantu. She took to her official Instagram account to open up about the gutting loss she recently faced. “Danny was diagnosed with cancer,” she informed her friends, fans and followers in her caption.
Elia also posted a bunch of photos with her lovely little pooch, Danny, who went up the rainbow at 12 years of age. The Days of Our Lives star credited her dad for capturing some absolutely stunning pictures of her with her furry baby earlier in January.
In the same post, Elia recounted that she will cherish her memories with Danny all through her life. The little doggo was full of life and had a big personality. “He was full of LIFE & brought so much JOY to everyone he met,” she reminisced. With a aching heart Elia admitted that she feels like she has lost a part of herself.
“He’s gone from earth but not from my heart. He will live there forever! ❤️” The Days of Our Lives star shared that her baby helped her through a lot. He has seen all the phases of her life and never judged her, just loved her. That is truly a pain that all dog-parents can understand.
