Days of Our Lives Casting Shakeup, Body & Soul Cancellation Causes Big Exits?

In the latest episode of Days of Our Lives, fans rejoiced when Kate and Abe announced that Body & Soul would no longer be produced in Salem, USA. Many fans have taken to social media multiple times to show their desire for DOOL to scrap off that storyline. When it finally happened, many fans celebrated on social media. With this celebration, some questions arose, too. 

As Kate and Abe made the announcement, they clarified to the group of actors involved that Body & Soul hadn’t been taken off. Instead, the network loved the show so much that they bought the rights. The whole thing will get relocated to Los Angeles. Moreover, they mentioned that they also loved the cast and they could move to L.A. and continue playing the roles.  But who is leaving? 

What Is Happening To The Casting Of Days of Our Lives?

With these statements, all fans are wondering about what’s happening next. As soon as Abe and Kate made this announcement, Hattie, played by Deidre Hall, was on board for leaving. She was ready to say goodbye to Salem and choose Charlemagne over everything. But, even if Hattie goes away, we think that we will still see Deidre as Marlena Evans on Days of Our Lives. 

Next, who we think could really leave would be Joy, played by AlexAnn Hopkins. Joy hopes that she will whisk away Alex with her, but that seems less likely. As per the storyline, Alex (Rob Scott Wilson) just got back with Stephanie, and he will want to give that some credit.

It looks like Joy believed that she would take him away with her. She would do something to put a hold on his romance with the Stephanie. However, it looks less likely that he will leave with Joy. Things have finally started looking good between Stephanie and Alex. 

As for Bonnie, when Hattie spoke to her about it, Bonnie was clear that it was not a decision she could make alone. She told Hattie that she would have to talk to Justin about it. And that only then would she be able to decide to move west. 

While some fans hoped that Leo would leave the town for good, it seems less likely that he will. Played by Greg Rikaart, Leo spoke with the Body & Soul office and, as the show’s head writer, wanted to know what he wanted. 

However, he learned that the network would get rid of him and hire a new writer. This fits in perfectly because Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings suggest that Gwen is on her way back, and these two notorious best friends will indeed wreak havoc in Salem. 

One shocking exit that we will see with this whole shakeup is Seth Burns probably leaving Salem. Played by Bruce Beatty, the hospital administrator says that he has found his calling and thinks he will move to L.A. and continue with the soap. Along with this declaration, he also gave a shocking update, the hospital was going to declare bankruptcy and probably going under.
