This became a turning point for Debbie. She finally saw that Carl was not going to change. So she made a painful decision. She gave him two thousand pounds and told him to stay away from her life.
Even after everything, Debbie did not send him away with hate. She gave him a Saint Christopher’s medal to wish him safety on his journey. Carl tried to act like he did not care, but it was clear that he was hurt. Debbie still stood firm and chose to move on.
