George’s world is going to rock once again. The BBC soap is preparing for the chilling return of his adoptive father, Eddie Knight. We all know that the man was responsible for killing George’s biological father, Henry Asare. The character will walk back onto the Square this spring.
The villainous Eddie, played by Christopher Fairbank, is returning at a time when George is already under strain. Eddie was last seen two years ago. It happened when he was sentenced to life imprisonment for a crime rooted in ‘racial hatred.’ He was also desperate to keep George from his biological roots.
In fact, the soap has already confirmed that Fairbanks has begun filming for a short stint. But we are yet to uncover what circumstances are bringing the most evil villain back to the Square. Whether it is through a prison visit or a legal appeal remains unclear for now.
But for now, George is focused on his newborn daughter. We saw that Nicola underwent a cesarean at just 31 weeks. Hence, the premature infant was left in the care of the NICU. Even the entire family had a harrowing few days when a flu diagnosis had forced Nicola to stay away from the incubator.

For several days, Nicola could only watch from far afar while George handled the visits alone. But soon the fever finally broke. Hence, there was a tearful reunion which allowed the parents to bond with the infant properly for the first time. Later, George and Nicola agreed to suppress their complicated romantic history. Now, the new parents only want to focus on the health and survival of the newborn.
However, the news of the killer’s return, the father could face a difficult choice ahead. Eddie is returning just as George is finding his feet.
