EastEnders fans are totally fed up with Jack Branning recently. Well, his latest actions on the BBC soap have not sat well with the audience. Hence, viewers are calling him a massive ‘hypocrite’ for how he treated Ian Beale in the police cells.

Fans Slam Hypocritical Behaviour
As we know Ian Beale was recently arrested after a car accident involving young Jordan Fox. After this, Jack Branning went to the police station to confront the newly elected councillor, even though he was off duty. Now, fans have pointed out that the cop was drinking at a wedding just before he headed to the station.
In fact, Jack did not even properly explain the charges to Ian during the questioning. Fans pointed out that Jodan is basically Jack’s step-grandson, meaning Jack should be nowhere near the case. Well, according to them he used his position to threaten Ian while he was locked in a cell without a lawyer.
Removing their frustration on social media, viewers called Jack arrogant, pompous and completely self-righteous. Elsewhere, many even remembered how he had previously shot Zoe and then tried to frame Ravi. And others noted that he was happy to let Penny take the blame for the club crush.
Not only this, but watchers have also brought up his past. They remembered how he made Amy and Ricky flinch during Amy’s self-harm storyline. Hence, even though the character is good looking, viewers believe the writing has made him unbearable lately.

A user said, “He’s arrogant, egotistical never done no wrong in his life, apparently. I’ve nver forgot how angry he got with Amy and Ricky years ago to the point they used to flinch around him. Treats Penny like a bit of dirt on his shoe and isn’t subtle about it either.”
Adding further the user wrote, “Anyway, just needed to have a rant-just watched tonight’s episode and I know Ian’s done wrong but you’d think Jack was the second coming of Christ the way he acts sometimes. Puls, he should’ve been nowhere near Ian anyway, with Jordan being family.”
Another added, “Jack the copper, who not long ago was fighting over a gun with Ravi and ended up popping a shot at Zoe. Then immediately set on framing Ravi! Can’t stand that whenever there’s anything to do with public services he transforms into this all-mighty persona and a scornful face.”
