EastEnders could be airing a shocking Christmas death that will leave the Carter family heartbroken. This comes after festive scenes on the BBC soap’s set were revealed and now pictures of the cast gathering up for a funeral are also out. In the images, viewers will get to see a white coffin being carried into the church as the Carter family mourns in their pain. It looks like the show is airing Linda Carter’s death as her family struggles.
Just when we thought that the longest-running soap was filming Christmas episodes, photos showed the cast getting together for a funeral. Linda, played by Kellie Bright is nowhere to be found on the set, sparking speculation that her character may be the one who passed away. In the pictures shared by The Sun, all the clues point towards Linda possibly being the person dying.
We were also able to see Maddy Hill and Danny Hatchard reprising their roles as Nancy and Lee Carter for the funeral, which is presumably for a loved one. Others in action included Johnny Carter and Elaine Peacock. The only person missing from the snaps is Linda; not only is she absent, but Nancy seems to be wearing her flamingo earrings – which were Linda’s staple in her wardrobe.

Long-time viewers know that pink was Linda’s favourite character, and we spotted Elaine also wearing pink accessories. Sharon Watts, Linda’s best friend, was also seen in the pictures, and the coffin had a pink flower on top. Some dramatic moments were also captured, one where Nancy is slapping her grandmother, Elaine. And another one where Lee and Callum help Johnny walk in front of the church.
Eagle-eyed EastEnders fans took to social media and expressed their thoughts on the same. One of them said, “Nancy in her flamingo earrings…em this is not looking good. I will not cope if it’s Linda dying at Xmas,” while one posted: “Hope it’s not what we’re predicting.” It looks like fans do not want Kellie Bright to leave just yet and we also cannot bear Linda leaving our screens. I will not be watching Eastenders any more there is too much change and it is not the same any more. Cindy should never have been brought back and now to lose Linda is the final straw.
