Before his exit, viewers learnt that Stevie had a secret second family. His younger son, Teddy Mitchell and grandsons, Harry and Barney, arrived in Walford. Also, it was revealed that Stevie was living a double life for decades.
However, on his 89th birthday, Phil Mitchell forced him to confess the secret. After which Stevie admitted that Billy’s mother, Val, didn’t abandon them. In fact, she committed suicide after she caught Stevie in bed with his other partner, Connie.
Billy Mitchell was devastated after this, as he thought his mother was still alive. And soon he disowned Stevie. However, Phil wanted to get Stevie out of the family. Hence, he framed him for stealing money from a charity fundraiser for Lola.
But in reality, it was Stevie’s grandson Will who was the actual thief. But Phil used this situation to turn the family against Stevie. He finally left Walford in July 2024. However, before leaving, he borrowed Phil’s vintage car and sold it. Now, viewers want to see him back in the picture.
