EastEnders fans on Reddit have been discussing which characters should never return to Albert Square. Elsewhere, Viewers frequently discuss dream comebacks. However, this conversation focuses entirely on the faces they want left in the past.
In fact, we can say that the community shares strong opinions on ruined storylines. Meanwhile, which characters do viewers want to never see again? Which characters have had their time and must not return? Keep scrolling to learn more.
Fans List Characters They Never Want To See Returning
Viewers of the BBC soap have named the characters who should never return. And they argue that Ronnie and Roxy Mithcell had their time. Hence, they must stay dead since viewers have seen their bodies. According to fans, using the witness-protection excuse to bring back the deceased characters is becoming completely ridiculous.

Others have also named Mick Carter, saying the soap should find his body off-screen to close this chapter permanently. As we know, the ending happened when Mick had dived to save Janine and Linda Carter from drowning. Initially, he managed to bring Janine back to safety. However, he wasnt aware that even Linda had managed to get back to the shore. Hence, he went ahead to save her but never returned.
In fact, even his body was never found so the door wasn’t closed completely. Elsewhere, some name Christian and Syed as a couple who should stay away from Walford. Of course, fans love the characters but they fear that the writers would only ruin their happy ending.
What EastEnders Fans Are Saying On Reddit
A user said, “Mine would be Christian and Syed. And not for the usual reasons you’d not want people to return. I really loved them and that they got their happy ending. EE would only ruin them like they ruin every couple so I want them to stay away. I wouldn’t mind a great appearance but no long-term returns thank you!”

Another shared, “Ronnie and Roxy, I know this is a controversial opinion, but they had their time on the show and we witnessed their deaths on screen.” While a third wrote, “I don’t quite get the obsession with Vanessa Gold. Yes, ‘bubbly’s in the fridge’ is iconic. But other than that? She was a nothingburger.”
Elsewhere, someone else mentioned, “Jay, Sonia and Whitney. It felt at times that they were only spared from the axe due to their longevity. Jay did very little between his homeless era and Lola’s cancer plot. Sonia could be super frustrating to watch, and all Whitney had were romance plots that were not enjoyable. To be fair, the Leo plot and bringing down Gray, she was superb. For more EastEnders spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
