EastEnders favourite Jo Joyner is returning to ‘television screens’ in a brand new mystery drama this weekend. The former Tanya Branning actress will play the lead in the intense thriller ‘Little Disasters’ on Channel 5. Meanwhile, keep scrolling to check out all the details about the new television series.
Jo Joyner Faces An Ethical Choice As An Emergency Room Doctor
The exciting story took place over ten years and revolved around the friendship between four very different women who first met in a maternity group because they all had the same due dates. Their harmonious support system will be broken when Jess, a perfect housewife, comes to be at a local emergency room.

She later gives a baby daughter with a severe, unexplained head injury. Now, former Walford icon Jo Joyner plays on-duty emergency doctor Liz. But she will face a dilemma over whether to trust a lifelong friend or report the suspicious situation to social services.
Also, initially, the project was launched on Paramount+ last year. However, it’s arriving on Channel 5 this Sunday at 9 pm. Hence, a wider television audience can experience the mounting tension for free.
Jo’s Final Stint On EastEnders
Jo Joyner played the beloved Tanya Branning on the BBC soap. Tanya had returned to Walford to take her daughters, Lauren and Abi away from the Square. She soon confronted Max Branning for his villainous behaviour. Furthermore, she revealed a secret to Stacey Slater. She told her that Max was responsible for Steven Beale’s death.
Later, she was trying to talk a suicidal Max down from the roof. However, both Abi and Lauren slipped and fell. And Tanya watched this horrific accident. Luckily, Lauren recovered. However, Abi was declared brain-dead. She even didn’t allow Max to come to the hospital. But when Abi’s life support was removed, she allowed him to be there.

For those who don’t remember, Max was married to Rachel when he met Tanya. Soon, Tanya became pregnant, and Max left his old family. Even after starting fresh, Max’s cheating behaviour didnt stop. He had a year-long affair with his son’s girlfriend, Stacey.
It was revealed in front of the family on Christmas Day. Meanwhile, are you going to watch Jo’s new project? And how excited are you for it? Let us know in the comments section. For more EastEnders spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
