EastEnders’ James Shares About Crew’s Unusual Request
EastEnders star James Bye has opened up about his character’s final moment on the soap. He admitted that he has not seen the funeral episodes yet. James explained that it would have been really weird to see his character’s funeral. He further added that even though he had decided it already, the soap’s art department had a really unusual request.
Bye added, “The art department was asking for pictures of me to put in the order of service. But I said no.” The actor further added that he did not want his real photos with his family’s cut-out.
He also opened up about the heartbreaking exit. James said, “Saying goodbye is not easy, but after 10 years at EastEnders and on the night of the show’s epic 40th anniversary – the time felt right.”
The soap star further explained that it is an honour for him to leave the soap on such a magnitude. He further thanked all his and the soap’s fans for making it what it is today. James extended his thanks to the BBC and soaps team for believing in him with the role.
James also said that ‘fruit and veg man’ will always hold a special place in his heart. The actor also said that whatever it is, now he should look forward, and he is excited to see what the future holds for him. “RIP Martin Fowler.”
Well, it is heartbreaking that we might never see Martin ever again on the soap, but we still hope that some miracle happens, and we get to see him back. Till then, keep reading Soap Opera Daily for more such EastEnders updates and spoilers.
