James Bye Had An Emotional EastEnders Exit
James Bye played the beloved Martin Fowler on the BBC soap. However, the character reached its end during the 40th live anniversary episode. Fans might remember that Martin was the very first baby born on the soap, so when the character left for good, fans were emotional as they marked his incredible legacy.
Before being killed, Martin had shared an emotional, heartfelt moment with her true soulmate Stacey Slater. However, things weren’t meant to be for the couple as a massive explosion had torn through the Queen Victoria pub.

Martin saw Stacey in danger and rushed in to help her out and he did manage to push her out of harm’s way. However, a structural heavy beam crushed his legs. When the paramedics arrived, the duo realised that the weight of the beam was the only thing keeping him alive.
And when the beam was lifted Martin suffered cardiac arrest and died in Stacey’s arms. Meanwhile, how did you like James’ recent family pictures? Let us know in the comments section. For more EastEnders spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
