EastEnders star Kacey Ainsworth joins the cast of the second season of ‘Play for Today’. The upcoming series features six standalone films, including a survival dramedy titled Wild. Kacey Joins The Cast Of Play For Today
Channel 5 has officially confirmed the star-studded ensemble for the second season of its ‘Play for Today’ reboot. Among the many notable names appearing in the six-part series is BBC soap actress Kacey Ainsworth. Also, this relaunch continues the legacy of the iconic BBC anthology strand.
Kacey will be seen in the third film of the collection, titled Village Idiot alongside legendary actress Phyllis Logan. In fact the narrative is about a stubborn grandmother, Barbara, who literally chains herself to her beloved cottage. And it’s done to prevent demolition by high-speed train developers. Also, the fans can expect the new batch of episodes to premiere on Channel 5 later this year.
Kacey’s Final Stint On EastEnders
Kacey played Little Mo on the BBC soap. Little Mo’s exit was defined by her struggle to move forward after some traumatic events. And this also includes her abusive marriage to Trevor Morgan and the birth of her son, Freddie.
So when Graham Foster raped her her husband Billy was struggling to accept Freddie. Hence, this caused the end of their marriage. In fact, after which Mo felt isolated within the Square. Later, Mo was embroiled in a feud with her sister Kat Slater over Alfie Moon. But finally, in her final episodes, Little Mo decided that she wanted a fresh start away from the ghosts of Walford.

Hence, she left the Square in a taxi in May twenty years ago. She moved to Barnstaple to raise Freddie peacefully. After which, Little Mo has never physically returned to the Square. But for sure her name has been mentioned multiple times due to her son Freddie’s storylines. A few years ago, fans heard her during a one-sided conversation with Freddie. In fact, even Kacey confirmed it by posting a teaser on social media. Later, when Graham returned to Walford, Freddie was forced to learn the truth about his conception.
