EastEnders character Lauren Beale ‘reconsiders’ her feud with Max Branning and Cindy Beale. After catching the pair together again, Lauren eventually invites the couple inside. Later, unexpected advice from Mark Fowler encourages her to soften her stance. Meanwhile, is this the ‘beginning’ of a new romance for the pair? Keep scrolling to learn more.
Lauren Reconsiders Her Decision
Recently, Lauren Beale re-evaluated her intense grudge against her father and his new partner. Lauren had been showing hostility towards Max and Cindy Beale for months now. However, after having a meaningful conversation with a friend, her perspective changed. We all expected Lauren to be ‘sceptical’ of Max and Cindy’s relationship.
Despite that, the mum of one decided to lower her guard. Next, she allowed the couple some space in the family home. Lauren got irritated when she saw Max and Cindy together yet again. And soon, she mocked the pair for their public displays of affection before storming out of the house.

But Oscar does something which Lauren didn’t see coming. Oscar tried to defend Max by highlighting his heroics during a recent car accident involving baby Jimmy. However, soon Lauren learned the truth. It was Max who had actually paid Oscar to speak highly of him. Hence, now after this revelation she felt even more betrayed than ever.
She soon realised that her father was once again manipulating people to gain favour. And one cannot forget that Cindy is also her mother-in-law. Hence, this romantic pairing is difficult for Lauren to accept. Next, she seeks refuge at the local cafe.
An Unexpected Ally Influences Lauren In EastEnders
Soon, Lauren vents about her family drama, but it’s not with Peter. This time, she finds comfort in a deep conversation with Mark Fowler Jr. Later, Mark gave her a unique perspective. And it was based on his own complicated history with his father, Grant Mitchell.

He also reminded her that despite their many flaws, having parents who actively try to be involved is worth valuing. With those words, Lauren clearly resonated with whatever her ally spoke. Hence, she returned home with a more tolerant attitude. In fact, she even invited Max and Cindy to take their romance inside.
Hence, we can say for now, the standoff has ended. However, one thing that viewers can’t miss is Mark and Lauren sharing a smile. This is probably a hint at a growing connection between the two.
