Michelle Shares A Moving Tribute To Her Mum
Michelle shared a sketch and vintage photos of her mum to mark the anniversary of her death. Also, the actress called her mother the strongest woman who raised her family alone after moving from Pontypridd. Collins also revealed that her mum prioritised education and taught her to be ‘respectful and considerate’ to others.
The first picture has a hand-drawn portrait of her late mother. While the second one is of Mary with her two children. Michelle captioned the post saying, “Grief never goes away, it just lurks in the background. Losing a mother is the hardest thing. She brought us up as a single parent, was the strongest woman I know and I am finding more and more about her life and how hard it was for her coming to London as a 17-year-old girl.”
Adding further, the actress shared, “She taught me how important education was, manners, values and to be kind, considerate and respectful to others. But also to try and enjoy life too, and that life is too short to be sad. She was loved by many, that’s for sure. I wonder what she would have thought of me going back to @bbceastenders! So proud of you, mummy x.”
