Natalie Cassidy and Jamie Borthwick recently shared an adorable meet-up photo. Their long-term friendship remains strong even when they enjoy their time ‘away’ from the cameras. In fact, fans have loved their friendship outside of work too. Natalie shared the image of Jamie kissing her head and wrote, “Wonderful catch-up.” Resharing the image Jamie wrote, “Great day with my friend.”
Elsewhere, Jamie was sacked from the BBC soap last year. It happened after a scandal involving a video from his time on Strictly Come Dancing. The actor was seen using a ‘slur’ to describe people. And after a three-month suspension, the soap decided to drop him from the cast permanently.
Jamie also ‘apologised’ for the statement saying he did not fully understand the derogatory meaning of the term at the time. Meanwhile, Natalie recently appeared in a special Bank Job sketch for Comic Relief. She played the role of Robber 6. In fact, she will also be appearing on The One Show, Saturday Kitchen Live and the BBC Breakfast Show next month.
Natalie And Jamie’s Final Stint In EastEnders
Natalie played Sonia Fowler while Jamie played Jay Brown on the BBC soap. Sonia’s exit was a part of the soap’s 40th anniversary. There was a blast that ‘ripped’ through the pub. That’s when Sonia went into labour and gave birth to her daughter. Later, she also learned that her first husband, Martin Fowler, was killed in the same disaster.
Also, she was cleared of the murder of Reiss Colwell’s wife. Hence, Sonia decided to leave Walford for a new start in Bali. She left with daughter, Bex, Julia and sister Bianca. Elsewhere, because Jamie was sacked, he never returned to film a proper exit. Last year, Lauren mentioned that Jay had gone to take care of his grandfather.
Then an update was given that he is engaged to a new partner and they are expecting a baby. Recently, it was revealed that Jay sold the car lot to Max Branning.
