EastEnders bosses are facing questions after police released a final update about a dramatic arrest on set. A man in his 50s was ‘arrested’ by security guards last May near the Queen Vic set.

An Extra Arrested Near The Queen Vic Pun After A Forced Kissing Complaint

The police have issued an official statement regarding the arrest of a television extra on the set of the BBC soap last year. Also, the police have updated twelve months after a man in his fifties was taken into custody. And it was on suspicion of sexual assault and common assault during a break from filming. 

Well, fans might remember that this incident took place in May last year on Eldon Avenue in Borehamwood near the iconic set of The Queen Vic pub. A frame extra had claimed that a male colleague forcibly kissed her. After which the on-site security stepped in,  immediately removed the individual and handed him over to local authorities.

The fact is that the unexpected disturbance happened even before some famous actors including a very experienced one, Adam Woodyatt could see it. The filming break-up was so serious that the director and other top production personnel decided to stop shooting entirely.

Later, a spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police recently confirmed the details of the investigation. They shared, “A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of common assault and ‘sexual’ assault in relation to two victims. Following initial enquiries, he was released with no further action.”

After the disturbing incident, the show bosses had no choice but to take into consideration the safety and well-being of the cast and crew that were working at the ‘Elstree studios’ during the havoc.

EE/Police have filed no charges.

Sources disclosed, “Although we don’t comment on individuals, we can say that EastEnders has security personnel on the site and very good procedures aimed at securing the safety and welfare of everyone working on the show.”
