There’s A Harrowing Vision Amidst The Wreckage

The BBC soap has aired an emotional climax to Ravi’s mental health crisis. It happens after a devastating car crash, which had left many lives in danger. In the aftermath, we saw that Ravi was pushed to the edge. His guilt finally culminated in a public breakdown on the viaduct. 

It all began when Priya Nandra-Hart tried to trick Ravi into visiting the hospital. That led to a huge collision with Max Branning and Cindy Beale. Next, a disoriented Ravi suffered a vivid hallucination where he believed that he had safely guiding his family away from the road. But soon he realised that Nugget and Ravi were still trapped in the smoking vehicle.

However, Priya successfully dragged the children to safety. Elsewhere, paralysed by his turmoil, Ravi refused to leave the car. Next, even Max uses the equipment from his boot to free a trapped Cindy. Luckily, he saved her just seconds before their vehicle burst into flames. 

Soon, the families were admitted to the hospital. However, Ravi managed to slip away and returned to Walford alone. Then he returned to the chemist: the site where his family first noticed his decline in mental health.

Soon, Ravi sat on the edge of the railing. He was ready to give up as he thought his relationship with Nugget was irreparable. We saw that he recently confessed to the earlier assault on his son. Later, Priya and Nugget rush to the bridge for reassurance.

It was Nugget’s presence that ultimately made the difference. The teenager promised his father that things would be better soon if he chose to climb down.

When he returned to the ground, the residents were relieved, but not for too long. It’s because a police officer informed the family that she would have to section him under the Mental Health Act. hence, he was soon directed toward the police car. 

However, Ravi assured his partner that he was now better and ready to return home. But his diagnosis of complex PTSD means that professional intervention is necessary.
