Grant Mitchell Has A Brotherly Confrontation
Ross Kemp has called his return to the BBC soap an “intense” emotional journey. We will finally see the iconic Grant Mitchell return to witness the final chapter of Nigel Bates.
Elsewhere, the storyline is definitely anchored in the storyline. However, it is the catalyst for a rare reunion of the Mitchell siblings. It will push Sam, Phil and Grant to finally sort things out after a decade.

The drama peaks when Grant visits Nigel in the care home and is stunned to see his friend’s decline. He was initially enraged that Phil kept the severity of the situation a secret. Hence, he accused his brother of being selfish and abandoning their pal. Later, the siblings engage in an intense scene. That’s when Grant realises that Phil’s refusal to visit Nigel is out of struggle, not neglect.
Next, Phil lashes out and throws Sam and Mark out of the house. Kemp shared that his return to the soap was a wonderful experience. However, did face some emotional pressure. It’s because he shared a deep personal connection to the plot. His father and the legendary Dame Barbara Windsor died from complications of Alzheimer’s. Kemp added, “The storyline was the main reason I wanted to come back.” In fact, he was proud to be a part of something that was handled so beautifully.
Ross Plans A Trip With His EastEnders Co-Stars
In the upcoming scenes, Julie will make the difficult decision to stop Nigel’s treatment. At the bedside, Nigel briefly wakes and asks for a specific item from his past. Hence, Grant is sent on a mission to find it. Later, Phil goes missing during the final hours but Phil tracks him to a beach.
Elsewhere, Julie begs him to return for Nigel’s final moments. Now, Grant must influence Phil to face his fears before their dearest friend passes away.

Elsewhere, Kemp said that reuniting with Steve and Kim was special. In fact, he also plans a trip with the Walford legends Steve McFadden and Paul Bradley once the filming is done.
