From the moment Gray’s grandmother Sheila came into the picture in EastEnders, Chelsea has had a tough time. Initially, believing that she had no relations with the serial killer, the protective mum accepted her financial help.
However, her true colours are finally coming out and Chelsea and scheming pensioner Sheila clash next week during an intense secret agreement. In a fit of rage, Chelsea kicks the old woman out of the house. But is it so easy to turn heads away from a serial killer’s family? Keep scrolling to learn more.
Chelsea Is Involved Into A Hidden Alliance With Sheila
Looking after a young child alone has been an overwhelming battle for Chelsea, especially because the unexpected rehabilitation bills have destroyed the household budget. As we know Jordan immediately requires expensive, specialist treatment after his series of severe physical injuries.
Hence, now the independent parent has no clear financial options. Chelsea cannot even turn to her family for emotional support. And it’s because Denise is entirely trapped inside a sterile hospital room undergoing isolation treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia.

Next, we saw an elderly newcomer Sheila Atkins, seize this opportunity and arrive in Walford out of the blue. She is desperate to build a relationship with Jordan, but she happens to be the grandmother of convicted serial killer Gray Atkins.
Initially, it was a massive alarm bell for the protective Chelsea. But when the mother realised she needed extra funding, she reluctantly formed a secret pact with Libby. However, Chelsea hid the regular monetary contributions from the wider Fox-Trueman clan to avoid a scandal.
A Fierce Argument Erupts Over Jordan In EastEnders
Later, the wealthy grandmother, Sheila, tries to secure a permanent place in the boy’s life. Since she doesnt want any remaining resistance, Sheila surprises the household by paying for the high-tech specialist wheelchair required for the young son’s ongoing physical therapy.

Initially, Chelsea feels gratitude for the financial gift, but Sheila’s sudden gesture forces her to question the visitor’s motives. Later, during a subsequent meeting, Sheula drops all pleasantry, demanding regular, unhindered access to Jordan in exchange for the funding.
Soon, the two clash inside the living room and Chelsea is shaken by the visitor’s aggressive behaviour. Since the mother didn’t want a killer’s family to control the household, she threw the old woman out into the street before the rest of the Square could discover anything.
